In the last election of 2004, TMC Trinamool Congress had got oly 1 seat and that too is from TMC leader Mamata Banerjee in South Calcutta. But in this election they bounced back with a number even Mamata Banerjee had not expected this number. Now, TMC Leader Mamaata Banerjee is eye on the Chief Minister seat in the West Bengal and that election will be held in 2011. TMC has spread their legs in Kolkata, nearby suburbs, North 24 Paraganas, South Paraganas and from Hooghly district but yet they could win from the West side of the Bengal that is like Midnapur district.

Barrackpore 2009 Election Results
------------------------------------------
Barrackore Belt is my (Varun Gupta –vgvarunwins@gmail.com ) hometown so I was very much excited to know the result. Till my birth, I was also seeing the Left Parties and this is the first time I have seen other parties winning. Finally CPIM power has been ended here and it is done by Dinesh Trivedi with the help of Arjun Singh (Bhatapara-Kankinara leader), Dharampal Gupta (Kankinara Congress leader) and Devi Ghoshal. TMC candidate Mr. Dinesh Trivedi won by big margin of more that 55,000 votes. Yesterday, they came in a winning rally in Kankinara. The main reason for his winning is that his profile and background is very good compared to his opposition leader Tarit Baran Topdar who has many crime records. Tarit Baran Topdar hates and use slang words againST non bengali people who are from UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, Orissa and muslim people. Dinesh Trivedi is an ex IPS officer, pilot and good friend of Rajiv Gandhi. He is also the member of Rajya Sabha. He is the most educated candidate of Trinamool Congress and the speaker of TMC party.

Raksha Bandhan 2012

Raksha Bandhan 2009, Rakhi, Indian Festival, Rakhi GiftsWhen is Rakhi (Raksha Bandhan ) in 2012?
It's on 2nd August 2012.

Among the Indian festivals,
Raksha Bandhan 2012 is considered as an important and historical festival. It is said that according to the Bhavishya Puran. Sachi - the wife of Indra had tied a protection -thread on Indra's wrist, which had been purified by the mantras. This protection thread had made Indra invincible from his enemies. This particular protection thread also enabled Indra to defeat his enemies.

From that period, this great festival of Raksha bandhan (Raksha Bandhan 2012 raakhii 2012) has been celebrated every year, on the full moon day, in the Hindu month of Shravan, reminding us of a great tradition. Hindus have been progressing steadily but surley on the path of life, by attaining neo energy, no faith and neo-strength.

It's written in the Bhavishya Puran :
"सर्वोरोगोप्शामानाम सर्वोसुभ वीनाशानाम, सक्रित्क्रीतेब्दामेकाम एन रक्षा करीता भावेत"

It means: The protection thread worn on this festival, destroys all the diseases and inauspiciousness. The person gets protected for the whole year.

(written in Hindi Language)

Meaning of the above Quote: The objective for which, the king of the demons - Mahabali had been tied with the protection thread, in the same way, O protection thread, I'm tying you for the same objective.

(While making donation to lord Vishnu-incarnated as Vaman, king Bali was not affected the least i.e. he donated everything without any hesitation, because he had tied protection thread on his self.)

Sacred Festival of the Brothers & Sisters
*******************************************
During the foreign-rule time, when the Hindu religion was going through its darkest stage - when the double-edged darkest phase - when the double-edged swords of the Mughal were causing great destruction to our civilization and culture by dishonoring our mothers and sisters, then it was only Rakshabandhan which boosted the morale of the Hindus by enthusing new inspiration.

Raksha Bandhan 2009, Rakhi, Indian Festival, Rakhi Gifts
Raksha bandhan, which is commonly known as Rakhi (Rakhee), was the symbol of love between the husband and wife during the ancient time. The same Rakhi turned into a symbol of love-bond between the brother and sister in due course of time. During the Mughal period, Rajput women when threatened by the aggressors, requested for help from their Rajput brother to save their honour, by sending Rakhi to them. These brave Rajput men felt honoured and even gave up their lives to safeguard the honour of their sisters. These 'raw-threads' used to enthuse tremendous enthusiasm and power as soon as they got tied on the wrists of the brothers. This tradition is still continuing and Rakshabandhan is celebrated with great enthusiasm by brothers and sisters। This tradition is not only in India but it is celebrated all parts of the world where Hindus exists like in USA, England, Australia. This year in 2009, special arrangement has been made. Last Year, my Varun blog attracted many visitors for this Raksha Bandhan 2008 post and hopefully in 2009 it will increase the numbers.
